Volunteers needed.

New volunteers are welcome across our projects and campaigns or, indeed, to work with us to improve the range of activities we offer.

In particular, we’d currently welcome the following volunteers – if you know someone do please pass this on:

Repair café – flexible volunteers needed to assist in smooth running of Repair café. Could include making hot drinks and clearing away, helping to book in items for repair and setting up and closing down Repair café. Ideally available 9.30am-1pm when Repair Cafe is being held (third Saturday of every month).

Plastic Free Chesterfield – anyone interested in talking to local independent businesses, schools or community groups about ways to reduce single use plastic? Our Plastic Free Champion scheme recognises organisations who take steps to reduce their plastic use.
If you like meeting new people and encouraging them to be more environmentally friendly, please get in touch: info@plasticfreechesterfield.org.uk

Skill share – we have lots of potential to share knowledge and expertise on a range of topics in workshops around Chesterfield this year. The main limiting factor currently is time to do the admin to organise these. If you would be interested in helping contact venues and arranging bookings for workshops, please contact hello@transitionchesterfield.org.uk

Crafters Bazaar – Taking place on Sunday 19th May. The place to buy and sell surplus art and craft materials. If you would like to volunteer to be involved in promoting this event by distributing flyers and posters, or stewarding on the day please contact us on craftersbazaar@transitionchesterfield.org.uk
