Why the position adopted by nearly all Chesterfield politicians (both aspirational and incumbent) on the East West Walking and Cycling Route has led Chesterfield and Derbyshire to the back of the queue when it comes to fighting climate change through active travel.

By positioning themselves on front of the small anti cycling/nimby subsection in our town they do actual harm to our community as a result. It all all comes down to a cynical, damaging game for votes.

Well done Toby Perkins, Paul Niblock, Stephen Lismore, Chesterfield Liberal Democrats etc.etc. You are making things worse!
