Upcycling fabric scraps: ideas for re-using fabric scraps and making simple patchwork
Join Angie to learn some basic hand stitching techniques to turn your scraps of fabric into new items including making simple patchwork. This is a great way to preserve the memory of a bygone garment eg baby clothes, wedding clothes, favourite old cotton shirt or blouse. Using simple card patterns that can be traced onto newspaper so template ideas and cut out fabric can be taken home to complete your project later. If you have them, bring your own fabric scraps and a basic sewing kit but there will also be enough materials to share.
